2015 Templeton Prize Ceremony for Jean Vanier at St Martin-in-the-Fields
Jean Vanier received the Templeton Prize On monday 18 May 2015, in London at the church St Martin-in-the-Fields, during a beautiful and moving ceremony

Valued at £1.1 million (about $1.7 million or €1.5 million), the Templeton Prize is one of the world's largest annual awards given to an individual.

Jean Vanier has determined that 100% of the Prize money will be used to benefit people with intellectual disabilities, who are among the most oppressd people on the planet.

The prize money will be gifted to L’Arche, Faith and Light, and through them to other organisations in financially poor countries who are working to lift up the lives and reveal the unique gifts of people with intellectual disabilities.
